Incredible flight

I already have all the motor mounts, head straps, helmet mounts, chest straps, 3D case, LCD, extra batteries etc etc. I was told by their tech support that the new Hero2 and old Hero cannot be used together for 3D. Also they are not and will not sell the new Hero2 naked, you have to by one with the extra attachments. So for the Hero2 plan on spending $300.

hmmm.... when I fly a Cessna 172 or the Cirrus SR-22, for some reason it's just not the same LOL!

So much different than a 600 mile per hour F-4 Phantom jet or a 100 mph Cessna. I gently floated through the canyons at about 27 mph. Time to enjoy the scenery.

Have you gotten the GoPro Hero2 yet? I was on the phone with their tech support who told me the new Hero2 will not work with Windows XP. Not quite sure why since the card can be plugged directly into card reader in PC. I've got XP and don't want to upgrade my operating system just to make the camera work. Any thoughts?

I have the same problem....it is that Windows XP will not work with UDF v.2.5 formatted drives.

My PIX 220 is formatted that way. Even the company Sound Devices recommended for downloading the fix, which would cost either $29 or $79 seems to be out of business. I received it yesterday. At first it would not turn on. After a dozen attempts it finally started to work???

I does seem to have a lot more capability. There is three different fisheye width in 1920x1080. Also the 960 HD is 48 fps along with 720 HD at 60 fps. The photo mode has several better settings.

The best thing I like is the little tiny lcd screen actually has words for setup. Also the red capture light is 4 separate lights so you can see from any side if it's recording. I took it for a drive around my home town. I'll upload the footage tonight.

The quality looks better than the old HD Hero but there is no capability to do 3D with Hero2 yet. AND you can't put a new and old one together for 3D, either both old or both new when they get the software ready in the future. I would suggest the Hero2 for new purchases.

As far as hook up to computer. I use the PC card reader so I don't care if it can't actually talk to XP, Vista or even Win7.

All the same cases and mounts work which is good. As long as it keeps turning on I'm happy.

Yep...one of those Hero2 cameras is on my list. Not gonna be anytime soon, but I'll remember to order it through your affiliate link!

I just read on the Hero2 FAQ that the cards need to be formatted FAT32.
