Me having my arm scanned in MRI. Dang machine kept making bad scans. The tech blamed it on the camera ... ;). Finally got a good picture .. now the knife to fix the arm ;( ..

I can't believe they let you have a camera in there. I'm sure that would be against hospital policy. Isn't that just a big magnet?

I shot one once (in use and for a video for the hospital) and they made me stand in the doorway. Even there, they were concerned.

They let me put the camera back in the corner and then they moved the camera outside and it shot through the protective glass and screen. Yup a giant magnet indeed. This MRI was a portable one inside a semi trailer. The lighting was very bad and the room very small. They were concerned then they bombarded me with three times longer because their system was not working right. I hope excessive MRI is not damaging.

Don, I hope your arm is ok. MRI's are also giant computers. It may have a kernel problem too! Hospitals are funny about cameras but usually we xray techs allow folks to film and take pictures :) When I was a student at the hospital eons ago the mri machine lifted one of my classmate bras up by the underwire and the machine wasn't even in use! But, over the years, they have improved the magnetic pull. They can even MR patients with bullets in them as long as the bullet wasn't back during the civil war or earlier :) Oh, never heard of excess MRI being bad...excess radiation on the other hand is, so be glad you weren't having a CAT scan!!! :D

By the way, wasp bit the S**t out of me. It was a nest i found, i got too close and i was all swollen up afterwards :)
