I know this isn't going to be popular, but having observed this thread since it was established, I'm still puzzled to it's intended purpose. If it sets out to make an example of excellence many clips are wanting in areas ranging from narrative through to composition and quality. While I sympathize with the demise in sales for artists, this is the nature of the media and talking up the prices by displaying examples that could be easily replicated doesn't help the cause.
I have set myself a rule that video clips are all set at $55 and CGI range from $15 upwards, which I believe is to low. It may be worth looking at how artists work together on the minimum prices, rather than showing examples of clips that derive from these out of reach high prices.

Ah, But you forget that this is a totally subjective process. What you do or have an opinion about is totally irrelevant. The whole point is that there is no "demise in sales for artists" as you put it. There is only demise in attitude of the industry by artists themselves. What you consider excellence has perhaps been disproven by the buyer's side of things. This is the wonderful thing about stock footage. Content of any kind may have different value to various individuals and needs. If you believe that your own pricing model is too low, then do something about it. You have that right. :)
