Income from stock footage

I have been making videos for years and recently thought "why don't I upload some stock footage and see if I can make some extra income!"

For those that have been on here for a while uploading stock footage, do you see a decent amount of sales?

I'm new to this and don't see a lot of extra money coming in from it, but figured it wouldn't hurt. I'm not asking how much you personally make, but wondering if it's something worth taking some time to go out and get footage or if it is just a sale here and there but not too significant.

Some of the artists here seems lucky and have constant sales as i note, but maybe it's also a question of the personal promotion.
As you write "don't see a lot of extra money ..... but ....wouldn't hurt" i think you see well. Don't expect too much and while the portfolio grows you enjoy if there's a sale or some more with the time. For me at first it's a hobby and why our clips should become dusty on the harddrive when it's possible to make some extra money?
