Question to Stockshooter: do you do all the work yourself or did you hire help? I mean, it takes me a hard time to upload 85 pictures, so how do you upload 85 clips a day, and enter all data? Thank...

Thanks for the question. I shoot solo, however, I have a wonderful wife who quite supportive and helpful when we go on shoots. I can plow through 100-200 clips shooting in the field, editing with a decent Mac Pro, I can edit 70+ clips a day 8-10 hrs. It's something I enjoy, not really hard.

Thanks, however, how about uploading, I can hardly upload 1 GB per day, @2.5 Mbps. How do you manage uploading?

all day and all night, I can manage 2.5 - 3 Gb per 24 hours. XDCam codec is a little more efficient. I've uploaded up too 120 clips per day....

I've created a system that works for me, and it might work for you
I can upload 20 to 30 clips overnight (depending on what time I get to bed), and the next morning, I can have them cataloged and keyworded in 30 minutes, thanks to P5's very efficient and well-designed template system. I create a template for each model that I work with, and I have a template for nature/scenic footage, studio setups, and even a generic template. I'll edit the templates as needed to include all of the information that's common to a set of clips, apply the template, and voila! That way, I avoid having to enter duplicate information, which is the mark of a good database design. P5 is the only site I know of with such an efficient system. KUDOS P5! Then, I edit the individual clips to insert information that's specific to each clip, and I'm done.
The only suggestion I have is to create and implement a system whereby we can store model releases and attach them to selected clips, as opposed to the present system of uploading releases to selected clips, which is still better than any of the other sites.
At this writing, I have 1278 clips up. I don't remember inspection ever taking longer than 48 hours.
As a producer and an occasional buyer, P5 is my first choice.
