Regardless of the economy, up or down I still intend producing clips and building my portfolio.

Same here Norm. Gonna pump em out! I do it as a hobby, so it is fun for me to see almost two hundred clips in my port now (should be there by end of year). The money is an added bonus :-)

Way to go Scott, I'm hoping for 300 by years end. Money is great!!

Keep positive folks, the human being is resilient. There are new uses every day for our clips. I'm confident 2009 will actually be even better than 2008 was for myself, my stock footage sales continue to grow every month. I'm equally confident your sales will increase as well. I've read some enlightening articles in various trade magazines in the past few days discussing the uses and growth of microstock footage. I'm quite excited about 2009 in that respect.

Care to share which trade magazins you're reading? ;-)

I find it extremely difficult to find appropriate magazines in Germany. What's available is either directed at mom & dad home video or at huge studios with a couple of millions invested in equipment - but nothing inbetween. Same for stores. For some stores €1K for a camcorder is about as high end as it gets, other stores won't even look at a camera unless it costs more than the manager's car - but again hardly anything between.

Hey Varius,

Try videomaker.com - they also have a magazine subscription as well.

Varius,

I'll scan the issue of HDVideo and send it to you if you like. , I think it was Sept 2008. I'll check it in the office on Monday, there was another magazine, I'll have to find that one too. Is email okay? PM me if it is...

cheers,
Francois
