A Couple Silly Critter Sequences

Made of clips shot recently in 4K on the AX100, edited and posted for fun (yes, that is digital zoom used at the end of the moose sequence, but that's just there for fun, not stock!) The good bits will be showing up on Pond5 soon!

Blue Heron Gulping Flounders (don't miss the end shot)

Two Young Bull Moose Swimming across the Chilkat (go to 2:20 if you have little time)

Blue Heron had a good lunch!

I like the ending low angle water ripple, very nice and peaceful...

Thanks for sharing..

Cool footage Gene! Iliked watching those Moose swimming, impressive that they managed to keep up against the stream!

How you can manage such a smooth pan footage with 25fps? What is your setting?

Thanks guys - and for noticing the rippling water shot at the end, forgot I stuck that there....that was Parallax and Cineslider. The moose really had to work to get back - no idea why they had crossed to the point they started from in the first place! I shoot at 30P. And been making my pans as slow as possible. Keeping the peaking on through the whole pan is the trick. If the peaking flickers the pan is too fast.

Funny Heron!

Love the moose video. Just don't see any of those here for some reason.

BBQ?
JHDT_Productions 19 Aug 2014 17:47
Probably. Shoe leather with enough BBQ sauce tastes good.

Being mainly vegetarian with vegan leanings for a long time I finally got offered a plate of fresh moose. Always wanted to try it. Damn but if it wasn't the best critter I ever chewed. Don't think such would last long in Texas....
