Hi all, I just uploaded my first video and the status says Needs Edits. I can't figure out what it means. It looks like it was accepted. I think.

Thanks!

Nope ... look again! The good thing is that your video is uploaded success.

Now click the "Edit" button all the way to the right.

A whole new world opens....

Select best still frame to grab the eye of your buyer.

Make sure your title is descriptive and accurate .. I name my files what they are, but you can edit the title the potential buyer sees.

Add simple description "Pig flying through rain of frogs, aerial shot with rising motion during tornado"

Click No Audio (usually .. long story, don't bother asking)

If it is 4K you need to specify the aspect ratio ... if it's 2K or DCI 4K, (17:9) it is "Other" (long story, don't bother asking)

Choose price for your file ... don't undersell yourself and devalue the industry

Specify camera/software source, specify the camera (not that anyone can tell or really cares, long story, don't ask)

Ignore the location/date stuff unless you have extra time and like wasting it.

Add keywords, specific, accurate, descriptive, such. If your clip does not contain nude people, do not put "nude people" in the keywords. (don't spam) Add as many keywords you can think of (up to 50, compound terms allowed, like "nude people" separated by commas between each term e.g. pig, wing, flying, aerial, rain, frogs, animals, no people, strange, wet, squishy, green, blender, tornado)

Scroll down "Save and Submit for Review"

Wait a long time. You'll get a message eventually.

Cross fingers for sale.

Rinse and repeat.
