views and sales

I have noticed in the past week or so that my views have not changed at all. I have 645 clips here so it's unlikely that NONE of them are being viewed. No clips uploaded in the past three weeks have any views at all which is unusual.
I have sold two now that have no views, and one twice with only one view. Also I have had two added to the cart without a view.
Strange. Is something broken?

I noticed something strange too...when viewing another artist's clips, the view count no longer changes. I just checked one of yours, wildwatertv, and the same held true.
I wonder if they've disabled view count increased between artists? That would be strange, as some artists here are also purchasers....
What bothers me of late is that I've had a record number of views (mine are increasing) this last week, but no resultant atc or sales.....hopefully it's not just my mom entertaining herself!

Indeed strange - views coming in big bunches - like periodically updated but ATCs are like frozen. I've noticed some new sells without ATC.

@ wildwatertv I just checked the four clips that you have sold more than once and each one have plenty of views. Had to use Google Chrome to view them as IE9 doesn't what to open your portfolio. The dashboard seems to be working just fine on my end.

Not sure why but yes indeed I also get sales with no views. Had one like that last week.

There does seem to be some work being done to the database these days. I rarely get email reports on sales anymore. I have not paid much attention to "views", or other "artist resources". Just so long as the computer remembers to credit my account when one of my clips sells, that is all I need. Hopefully that part of the database is working properly!

Hope so too, I trust there will not be any errors on that part ... I don't check to ensure that part is accurate.

is possible people start to use the videoclip preview and then decide to buy directly, technically without recording a view. That is what they have told me some days ago about the problem that I had two clips with zero views but were twice added to cart. Probably should be the same in your case.

Thanks for the replies. I think when my portfolio was unavailable there was someone inside it with a crank handle, because it seems to have become unfrozen now. Jvvideo, you might be right about using the preview. I also wondered whether if someone watched a clip inside a public bin it wasn't recorded.videoopp. I find views a useful benchmark of interest, so I tend to check what people are looking at. Thanks jason for taking the time out to check my files.

phantomewo... How would it be possible to check?
Apart from database problems on this regard, how do we know that some programer or contractor hasn't written a routine into the code that spins sales his/her way, rather then credit the artist? I am not in any way questioning the integrity of Tom or Pond5, but how would they know if the system has not been compromised? I have had some odd sales trends that seem to bend the laws of statistics. I have had clients contact me for discount requests, and when I send them back to pond5, even thought they tell me they will go ahead and purchase at the stated rate, the sales don't come through. What kind of auditing is in place? I wish there was more transparency ....
